While I’ve been here in the Benelux region of Europe this past week, I’ve had the opportunity to dig around on youtube.com for interesting things to watch (since there isn’t much on TV here unless you speak Dutch, French or Luxembourgish!)

2012 Cruise Photos & Comments

Here’s a few highlights of what they had to say:

1) What did you think about the mix between work time and pleasure?

Participants enjoyed the mix — and agreed that a bit more formal training would have made the cruise even more valuable, so we will definitely plan more and longer workshops for 2013.

2) Did you feel that you got more benefit from formal time (classes and coaching) or informal time (chats and meals)?

Tony Magnall summed up the feedback very well: “Business benefit from formal classes and private coaching — and camaraderie from social mixing.”

3) Overall, what did you think of a cruise as the setting for the ChangeWorks conference?

The answer here was, “It depends.” Several people suggested more training and a shorter time frame (a non-cruise weekend intensive training) and others liked the vacation idea with a training, coaching, networking and relaxing mix. So we are considering doing BOTH types of retreats during the coming year.

4) How did the conference enhance your role as a ChangeWorks professional?

This one was unanimous — the session on Tension Management in Prospecting was the favorite. Again, everyone wanted longer workshops to enhance their skills. So, we will run 3-hour training sessions on each of the sea days next time. Since there are usually 2 sea days, one will focus on skills development and the other on business development.

5) What should we keep and what should we change for future ChangeWorks conferences?

Lots of ideas and great suggestions from everyone — and we will be using all of them at the next conference.

7) What other comments would you like to share?

“The TMI team put a lot of effort into providing these well presented sessions and we can’t thank them enough for their focus to make this a perfect mix of quality knowledge and effective relaxation. At the end of the week, they were all pretty tired — and as a participant, I was informed and invigorated.”

We’re so glad that the professionals who joined us got so much out of the cruise and conference — and we hope to welcome so many more of you on our 2013 ChangeWorks Community Cruise.

Celebrating 7 Years with Steven!!

Today marks Steven Magnall’s 7th anniversary with the Tension Management Institute — and we celebrated with lunch at our favorite restaurant, ToBu. Here’s a snapshot:

Over these years, Steven has become a true subject matter expert in all things ChangeWorks and MasterStream and proven himself to be a knowledgeable, supportive and trusted trainer for members of our professional team.
